Youth Financial Literacy Summer Program Starts July 2, 2025
Cultivate Our Youth is hosting a youth financial literacy summer program designed to equip young people with the tools, knowledge, and mindset to make smart money moves and create a financially empowered future. Hosted by Infinite Wave Foundation, this 7-week series is built to be interactive, inspiring, and rooted in real-life skills.
43% of our community said the #1 thing they wish they were taught earlier in life was financial literacy — and they’re not alone. Across Canada, most youth enter adulthood feeling unprepared to manage money, navigate credit, or plan for their future.
Yet financial literacy is one of the most powerful tools for building confidence, independence, and generational wealth. By learning how to manage money early, youth gain the power to make informed decisions, avoid financial pitfalls, and create a future they’re proud of.
This program bridges that gap — one workshop, one story, one smart decision at a time.

Our mission for the Cultivate Our Youth Program is to empower at-risk youth by equipping them with practical skills in agriculture, STEM, the arts, leadership, and financial literacy—fostering resilience, confidence, and purpose.
We envision a generation of empowered youth who rise above their circumstances to become changemakers, innovators, and responsible community leaders.
By equipping youth with diverse skills and mentorship, the program aims to cultivate future leaders and entrepreneurs who can contribute positively to Canada's economic growth.
Why We Do It
Many youth in underserved communities lack access to positive mentorship, hands-on learning, and exposure to entrepreneurship or sustainable living. This program offers them an opportunity to discover their interests and transform their future — while supporting emotional health and career readiness, and building a generation of leaders for a stronger Canadian economy.
Structure: The transformative comprehensive agricultural entrepreneurship education and mentorship program hosts three cohorts over a 16-week period, Monday to Friday. While the duration is brief, it serves as an initial step to identify and nurture the youths' interests.
Curriculum: Participants engage in diverse areas, including:
Arts Program: Encouraging creative expression and appreciation.
STEM Programs: Fostering skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Agricultural Education and Entrepreneurship: Teaching sustainable farming practices and business skills.
Financial Literacy: Equipping youth with essential money management skills.
Entrepreneurship Skills: Developing business planning and execution capabilities.
Leadership and Mentorship: Building confidence and leadership qualities through mentorship.
Support Services: Each program is staffed with dedicated employees and 1-2 facilitators to provide guidance. Additionally, 1-2 on-site counselors are available during weekdays to support participants' mental well-being.
Amenities: Participants are provided with food and lodging during the program.
