Youth Financial Literacy Summer Program Starts July 2, 2025
Infinite Wave Foundation (IWF) is committed to fostering a culture of integrity, transparency, accountability, and compassion. This Code of Ethics and Conduct outlines the standards of behavior expected of everyone associated with IWF—board members, staff, volunteers, partners, and collaborators—to ensure we remain aligned with our values and mission as we serve diverse communities with heart-centered leadership.
1. Integrity
We uphold honesty, consistency, and ethical decision-making in all our interactions and activities.
2. Compassion
We act with empathy and understanding, especially when supporting individuals and communities affected by trauma, injustice, or hardship.
3. Empowerment
We inspire growth by creating spaces where youth and community members feel seen, heard, and valued.
4. Accountability
We take responsibility for our actions and commitments, always striving for transparency and continuous improvement.
5. Respect
We honor the dignity, diversity, and contributions of every person, creating inclusive and safe environments.
This Code applies to:
Board members
Staff
Volunteers
Interns
Consultants
Program participants (as applicable)
Partners and sponsors representing or acting on behalf of IWF
All actions and decisions must align with IWF’s mission to cultivate community healing, empowerment, and leadership through programs like Cultivate Our Youth.
Personal interests must not override the interests of the Foundation.
Practice honesty, transparency, and kindness in all internal and external communications.
Avoid gossip, slander, or divisive behavior.
Share concerns respectfully through appropriate channels.
Protect the privacy of individuals and communities served.
Do not share confidential or sensitive information without explicit permission or legal obligation.
Treat everyone fairly regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, or socioeconomic background.
Take proactive steps to create inclusive spaces and address systemic inequities.
Disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including financial, familial, or personal relationships, that may influence decision-making.
Recuse oneself from related discussions and votes when conflicts arise.
Act as a responsible and respectful representative of IWF when attending events, collaborating with partners, or engaging in public dialogue.
Avoid conduct that could damage IWF’s reputation or credibility.
Center the voices and experiences of the communities we serve, especially youth.
Use IWF’s funds, property, and time responsibly.
Ensure transparency in financial dealings, donations, grant usage, and reporting.
Avoid any misuse or misappropriation of funds or assets.
Because we work closely with young people through programs like Cultivate Our Youth, we require:
Adherence to all child/youth protection laws and guidelines.
Background checks where applicable.
Boundaries that prioritize youth safety, dignity, and well-being.
Mentorship rooted in empowerment, not control.
Represent IWF respectfully online.
Avoid sharing unapproved, misleading, or inappropriate content using IWF’s branding.
Respect the privacy and intellectual property rights of IWF and others.
Concerns or suspected violations should be reported to the President or the Board Chair.
Reports may be submitted anonymously and will be treated with confidentiality and care.
Violations of this Code may result in disciplinary actions including warnings, suspension, dismissal, or termination of partnerships.
This Code is a living document. As IWF evolves, so will our understanding of ethics, equity, and leadership. We commit to ongoing learning, critical reflection, and community feedback to ensure our practices remain just, relevant, and impactful.
All individuals affiliated with Infinite Wave Foundation are required to read, understand, and uphold this Code. By participating in IWF activities, you must affirm your commitment to this shared standard of excellence, ethics, and care.
