Programs Director
Nithya is a dedicated advocate for children and youth, passionate about helping them realize their potential to benefit themselves, their communities, and the world. Nithya's journey began at age twelve, teaching dance part-time on weekends to family friends and even adults. By high school, Nithya’s leadership qualities shone through as she co-founded an in-school dance team and a recreational dance group. They showcased their skills in dance competitions, hall events, and even as backup dancers for emerging local artists.
After high school, Nithya deepened her commitment to working with young people by becoming a line therapist, providing in-home support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This experience sparked a broader career in which she has since worked with children and youth with learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and special needs across daycare, elementary, and high school settings. Her expertise extends to teaching life skills, executive functioning, and vocational skills, preparing students transitioning into adulthood after high school.
As a young mother herself, Nithya’s love for children grew further. She embraced the role of stay-at-home mom, also caring for her young cousin and participating in community resources to help her children socialize. Her connections with other parents in the community solidified her commitment to fostering supportive environments for children’s growth.
Currently, Nithya serves as a role model and mentor at an independent high school, where she supports students with special needs, behavioral challenges, and learning disabilities. She continues to seek out innovative opportunities that foster her students’ success, finding creative ways to inspire and guide them. In her current role at Infinite Wave Foundation, Nithya’s experience is invaluable. Her deep knowledge supports not only the youth in the program but also their families, guiding them through challenges and empowering them with tools for success. Nithya’s dedication, experience, and heart for young people make her a valued advocate for children and families.
Nithya is a dedicated professional with a strong educational foundation from Stenberg College and Douglas College. With exceptional leadership, customer service, and team collaboration skills, she not only drives operational excellence but also fosters a positive and motivating environment. Her ability to lead with empathy, delegate effectively, a logistics and program specialist optimizing processes for scalability and impact, and uplift those around her makes her an integral part of our mission-driven team.
