Over 1 in 8 Canadian households experience food insecurity.
In Vancouver, the DTES is one of the highest concentrations of poverty in North America.
Mobile food services increase access by up to 30% in remote or underserved areas.
Food is not just a basic necessity; it is a fundamental human right. Yet, many individuals and families face significant barriers to accessing adequate nutrition. A warm, fresh meal can bring hope, dignity, and the will to keep going.
Our Meals Movement Program is designed to bridge this gap by delivering wholesome meals directly to those who are struggling. Through this initiative, we strive to:
Alleviate Hunger: Provide immediate relief to individuals experiencing food insecurity.
Promote Health: Offer nutritious meals that contribute to better physical and mental well-being.
Build Community: Foster connections and support networks within our community.
